Entry Level Maintenance Worker - PORTLANDPlant

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Maintain operation of the tote system (loading, dumping, washer and conveyors) during production shifts. Perform preventative maintenance work; troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary. Utilize basic electrical, welding, carpentry and general mechanical skills to problem solve throughout the shift. ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS • Maintain operation of the tote system during production shifts. • Perform preventative maintenance work on all plant equipment as scheduled. • Recognize proper operation of all plant equipment to include safety shutoffs and devices. • Recognize and use lock-out/tag-out devices as required. • Operate a forklift. • Efficiently use various hand and power tools. • Complete work orders and other assigned paperwork as directed. • Safely climb on top of, around and under machinery as needed. • Lift 50 lbs. up to 4 ft high as necessary. • Climb ladders and walk on catwalks as needed.

Production Worker - PORTLANDPlant
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Immediate opening for a Production Worker in our plant on swing shift. Unload and load trucks, move materials, operate production machines that count and process empty deposit aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers. ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS Pull down from 7 ft. and lift up to heights of 7 ft., 20 lb. bags of aluminum cans and 15 lb. bags of PET plastic bottles. Read codes on bags, count and organize by code groups as posted on bag racks. Push and otherwise maneuver racks of bags in and out of trailers. Re-stack to heights of 5 ft., 30 lb. cases of glass and secure with shrink wrap as necessary. Operate pallet jack to move pallets and totes of product from trailers to the dock. QUALIFICATIONS Need team players, positive attitude is a must! Must be available to work schedule as posted, and overtime as necessary. Pass drug screen prior to employment in this position. Pass company's basic math skill test. Speak, understand, read, and write the English language sufficient to perform the job. Meet physical requirements of the job as defined. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others. PAY & BENEFITS Pay Rate is $9.50 per hour, plus shift differential (for swing shift) Swing shift schedule, Monday thru Friday Health/Dental/Life Insurance PTO(Paid Time Off) & Holiday pay

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Operate a cube van on a route to service OBRC accounts in handling the pick-up and transporting of deposit/refund beverage containers. QUALIFICATIONS -Valid class C driver license and good driving record. -Ability to get along with people in stressful situations. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day. -Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS -Maintain personal appearance consistent with OBRC Management expectations. -Arrive on time for every scheduled workday. -Conduct yourself in a professional manner in both attitude and appearance. Perform pre-trip inspections on cube van truck. -Safely and courteously operate a vehicle and all equipment, including pallet jacks, hand carts, lift gates, dock plates, load locks, etc. -Proper product preparation including marking of bags, building of pallets and product groupings. -Proper preparation of drafts, accurate counts, accurate and legible math. Proper loading of trucks, insuring that all items paid for are loaded, load is properly secured and that bags are "layered" in the truck. -Completion of weekly tasks in allotted amount of time

Service Technician - PORTLAND Reverse Vending Operations
Oregon Beverage Recycling is now recruiting for a full-time Service Technician to work in the Reverse Vending department. As a Service Technician you will maintain, clean and service reverse vending machines at store locations in the Portland Metropolitan, Salem, and McMinnville areas, using company equipment and vehicle for transportation.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS • Repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of Reverse Vending machines. • Clean and clear machine mechanisms of obstructions, foreign materials. • Interact in a positive manner with store personnel, customers, and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS • Must be available to work scheduled hours as required. • Pass drug screen prior to employment in this position. • Pass company's basic math skill test. • Speak, understand, read, and write the English language. • Valid driver's license and good driving record. • Basic electrical and mechanical skills. • Knowledge of computers and/or experience preferred. • Maintain a well groomed and neat appearance. • Ability to work without direct supervision. • Able to lift, carry and raise to a level of 5 ft. items weighing up to 55 lbs. • Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others.
